I felt like he sorta felt too sorry for Bush and pulled his punches-- almost excusing him in light of what he tried to paint as a dysfunctional family. I agree, though, for whatever reason- Stone's film just didn't have the heart and punch of his other works. Maybe it had something to do with the fact that Bush is still alive?
