Personally, I liked last night's Palin sketch even more than the first one. As Palin speaks more and more, her lack of preparation and knowledge becomes more and more obvious, and last night's sketch satirized that brilliantly -- from her nonsensical rambling about fixing the economy (ordering from McDonald's Dollar Menu will help) to her call for a lifeline and the adorable posing, Fey's portrayal of Palin gets creepier and creepier and more and more scathing. I love that Fey's disdain for Palin lurks so clearly just under the surface, as if you can just see her thinking, "Can you believe this idiot?"

After David had watched the new SNL sketch, I made him watch the Katie Couric interview (which he had heard about, but not seen). The thing that is so brilliant about the new SNL sketch is that it only has to take about half a step out of the reality of that train wreck interview. I love Tina Fey!
You stole my answer, Jen. When I saw the Katie Couric interview, I instantly had the image leap to mind of Amy and Tina high-fiving each other and thanking GOD for the gift.
And by the way, anyone who finds herself stumped by a hard-hitting KATIE COURIC interview might seriously reconsider life in the public eye.
I only saw bits and pieces of the interview, but I did see the "I'll get back to ya'" part -- and screamed at the tv, "IT'S YOU, YOU MORON!!!!! YOU YOU YOU!!!!!!!!!"
